How the date is decided
Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, observed on the day the tithi prevails at midday (madhyahna), as the almanacs reckon it for New Delhi.
2027: the tithi runs from Fri, 3 Sep 2027, 2:19 PM to Sat, 4 Sep 2027, 12:26 PM (IST).
2028: the tithi runs from Wed, 23 Aug 2028, 5:10 AM to Thu, 24 Aug 2028, 1:55 AM (IST).
Dates follow the common North Indian reckoning for New Delhi and agree with the leading almanacs. Regional calendars can differ by a day; your family’s panchangam has the final word. For your own town’s times, see today’s panchang.
