How the date is decided

Magha Krishna Chaturdashi (amanta; Phalguna in the North Indian purnimanta calendar), observed on the day the tithi prevails at midnight (nishita kaal), as the almanacs reckon it for New Delhi.

2027: the tithi runs from Sat, 6 Mar 2027, 12:04 PM to Sun, 7 Mar 2027, 1:46 PM (IST).

2028: the tithi runs from Wed, 23 Feb 2028, 10:44 AM to Thu, 24 Feb 2028, 1:27 PM (IST).

Dates follow the common North Indian reckoning for New Delhi and agree with the leading almanacs. Regional calendars can differ by a day; your family’s panchangam has the final word. For your own town’s times, see today’s panchang.
