The nature of Pushya
Pushya is held to be the most auspicious of the nakshatras, the star of nourishment. Its people are traditionally caring, devoted and wise, natural teachers and protectors who feel responsible for others. It favours learning, faith and service. Tradition asks it only to care for itself as well as it cares for everyone else.

The four padas
Each nakshatra divides into four padas (quarters) of 3°20′. The pada sets your Navamsa sign and, traditionally, the first syllable of your name.
